SOMETHING NEW & SOMETHING TRUE

NEW VIDEO IN THE WORKS FOR “WHEN YOU THINK NO ONE LOVES YOU”

I am delighted to let you know that over the next few months I’ll be shooting a music video for the song “When You Think No One Loves You” with a local video production company.  They have crafted a beautiful story to tie into the song and lyric and our goal is to maximize the impact of this song and widen its reach.  Songs have a life of their own and this one feels like it’s got some work to do in the world.  As you may recall me mentioning previously, this tune has connected with a lot of people at a profound level around how we can struggle with a sense of worth.  I appreciate many of you writing me personally to tell me of your own experiences.  I really want to bring you along with me on the journey as this song gets a big push out to people’s hearts and ears so I’ll be sure to keep you posted. For now, here’s a link to hear the song on whatever pipeline you use for your digital tunes.

SUMMER GIGS AND UK TOUR

The summer dates have been filling up and there are of plenty places to see me live in the GTA & southern Ontario over the next few months so come on out and enjoy some sunshine and music.  In September, I’m excited to be heading over to the UK to play some shows in Scotland, England and Wales.  Some of them I’m opening up for a couple of Americana artists - Nathan Bell and Letitia Van Sant - and some on my own.  Please check the Shows Page here to find out when I’ll be in your neighbourhood and make sure you drop by to say hello!

WHAT’S TRUE

After more than 25 years and nearly 2700 gigs, as hard as it is to keep rockin’ & rollin’ through this crazy world of making a life in music, I am grateful to still experience moments that fill me up from the inside when I’m playing and singing. In between the loading in and out the gear, I’m continuing to discover something new about myself and the songs I’m singing that keeps me keepin' on.  I thank all of you who drop by at the gigs or drop me a note from time to time and help generate some of that magic that happens during the process of musicking.  May you all find some of those moments in whatever creative endeavours you encounter in your own life!
