"One morning I woke up in the middle of a vivid dream where one moment I was flying in a plane high up through the clouds and the next moment I was crashing down to the ground. I immediately scribbled some notes in a semiconscious state. When I came back to it later I interpreted the dream as a reflection of the ups and downs encountered in the music business. You can give your own interpretation."
SONG LYRICS
Daylight, and I seldom remember my dreams
But this time, I picture the nightmare
Inside my head, like a story I've read
Shot down in a plane I was flying alone
I know what it feels like to fall
I was high in the clouds
Then my dreams hit the ground
Almost halfway to heaven
Almost three quarters there
Almost fully forgiven
But nobody answered my prayer
Slowly, I crawled from the wreckage alive
Behind me a guardian angel
And I felt no fear
As the dream disappeared
Almost halfway to heaven
Almost three quarters there
Almost fully forgiven
Did somebody answer?
Maybe somebody answered, my prayer
I'm listening to sounds in the dark before dawn
I'm learning what's there in the silence
At night on my own
Maybe I'm not alone
Almost halfway to heaven
Almost three quarters there
Almost fully forgiven
And somebody answered
Yeah somebody answered
I know somebody answered my prayer
