Lyrics

"This song was written with Sean Keating who came up with the hooky intro. melody. It originally had a line in it "fielding questions with the skill of a silly mid-off". I was advised to remove it during a songwriting workshop with Ian Thomas who informed me that positions in cricket wouldn't mean much to most Canadians!"

You work hard all your life for what you've got
And fall in a moment of despair, a senseless affair
Avoiding questions that won't stop
Denying what you know inside, it'll haunt your mind

Watching you while you fight with lies
As you feel your world break down
Let the words be spoken
And the resolutions be found

Truth is stronger than friction
Let it lead you where you belong, to the one you love
Fear and shame will hunt you down
There's nowhere left for you to hide, can you turn the tide?

Watching you while you fight with lies
As you feel your world break down
Let the words be spoken
And the resolutions be found

Watching you while you fight with lies
As you feel your world break down
Let the words be spoken
And the resolutions be found
